Totally Local VC’s
The innovative dinner series promoting Ventura County’s world-class agriculture and cuisine is back for its tenth year !
Southern California foodies typically have a lot to look forward to as the seasons evolve, especially on the Gold Coast with our powerful agricultural legacy. This year, the anticipation rises a notch higher as Totally Local VC presents some new twists to our 2018 Farm-to-Fork Dinner Series as you’ll see in the dinner descriptions. Our innovative dining events marry iconic Ventura County locations with some of the area’s top-line chefs, purveyors, wines and brews, preparing seasonal selections harvested from the region’s most celebrated farms.
The dinner series revolves around seasonal, local fare. Every aspect of the evening – from cuisine to libation to music, entertainment and decor – derives from local auspices and is indicative of and in keeping with the incredible bounty that is Ventura County.
The events are priced to please at $145 per person. This sum buys the experience of five-course meal, paired with local wine, beer and entertainment, an offering that presents a unique community-building opportunity for all involved, from guests to organizers, beneficiaries and purveyors.

Dinner at the Lemon Orchard
The first of this year’s popular Totally Local VC Farm-to-Fork Dinner Series is being held at longtime Ventura County agriculture mainstay, Limoneira Ranch. Guests will enjoy a dinner served al fresco in a communal, family style in an elegant but unusual setting of lemon orchards. The location is a virtually hidden treasure. Talk with and learn from the local farmers from whose land the food derives. As with the wine and beer, the producers will offer insight and context on the consumables, forging a true link in the diners’ consciousness between the field to fork.
This kick-off Dinner Series event will step out of the box a bit as we partner with not just one top-line local chef, but three! We will also feature two wineries, two brewers, local distillers and more. And, over 100 tickets will be gifted this season to people affected by the Thomas Fire and mudslides as well as local heroes and first responders as we come together in this communal gathering to celebrate the amazing community we call home: Ventura County.
Note: Gifted tickets will be drawn from the Local Love Project Thomas Fire list in a lottery-style drawing. Totally Local VC will draw the names from a hat and will notify winners via email.
This a dinner experience you will not forget!
Proceeds from this dinner event will go to the Totally Local VC Agricultural Education Foundation and the Local Love Project (helping those affected by the Thomas Fire and mudslides).
