Ventura County's Support-Local Program

Out of an abundance of caution and to assist with our nation’s preventive efforts, the Cheers for Charity event has been canceled. Vendors and pre-purchased ticket holders are being notified and refunds will be issued. While we are disappointed, we felt this was the responsible thing to do at this time. We will reschedule this event for a later date.

Governor Gavin Newsom announced that California public health experts have determined that gatherings with 250 or more people should be postponed or canceled across the state. Smaller gatherings can proceed only if organizers implement social distancing of 6 feet per person.

We thank you for understanding and hope to see you at our events later in the year.

Local Love Project

For over a decade, Totally Local VC has worked as an advisor for agriculture and culinary arts programs at both high school and college levels. Together with area chefs and farmers, we have laid the foundation to empower students in taking the next step in their journeys to achieve their educational and professional goals.

In order to grow and continuously raise the bar on our academic initiatives, we formed the Totally Local VC Agricultural Education Foundation. We depend on the support from community members like you through funds raised from donations, sponsorships and events. With this support, we can expand our programs that prepare students for successful careers in agriculture, food science and the culinary arts. Your contribution is helping to build the agricultural leaders and chefs of tomorrow.

Totally Local VC Agricultural Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

San Buenaventura Mission was founded in 1782 by Saint Junipero Serra as the last of the nine California Missions he founded. In a literal sense, San Buenaventura Mission has lived Father Serra’s revered advice, Siempre Adelante! Always Go forward! about as far as we can: the Mission property is fully developed with an historic church and rectory, Holy Cross School, beautiful gardens, museum and gift shop.

Now you can help fund a program to sustain ministries initially founded by St. Junipero Serra at San Buenaventura Mission and Holy Cross School for generations to come. On our website, you will find information about ways you can make a gift to us and enjoy valuable benefits such as lifetime income and tax savings. We look forward to helping you achieve your goals.

Siempre Adelante! San Buenaventura Mission is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.

Totally Local VC’s Local Love Project activates and organizes members of our community in the aftermath of a traumatic event within Ventura County and the 805 to provide relief and support to those affected by disaster or in a time of need. This is Local helping Local.

As we all know, the Thomas Fire broke out the evening of December 4, 2017 in Santa Paula, and eventually became the largest fire in California history.

In true Totally Local VC style, we partnered with several organizations in our community and the Local Love Project and 805 Strong Network were formed. We quickly created a warehouse and distribution system that helps direct relief and outreach efforts while solving immediate needs for victims of the fire and the mudslides, continuing this help at each step in the recovery process.

We help our community work toward the vision of rising from the ashes to help rebuild the 805.
