Ventura County Ag Week
June 2 – 8, 2025
Ag Week is a vibrant, weeklong celebration dedicated to spotlighting the region’s rich agricultural heritage and vital farming industry. Ag Week connects students, community members, and local farmers through engaging activities that showcase the journey of food from field to fork, and the wide range of careers that make it all possible.
Educating Students from Field to Fork
A cornerstone of Ag Week is student engagement. In partnership with agricultural and culinary operations across Ventura County, Totally Local VC hosts Farm-to-Fork Tours for local high school students. These immersive, hands-on experiences take students directly onto working farms, where they learn about each stage of food production — from planting and harvesting to processing and distribution.
More than just a field trip, these tours inspire students by revealing the many fulfilling career paths available within the agricultural industry, from farming and food science to logistics, culinary arts, and beyond.
Honoring the Hands That Feed Us
Ag Week also shines a spotlight on Ventura County’s hardworking farmworkers, whose dedication sustains the region’s agricultural success.
Throughout the week, Totally Local VC, along with community partners, will host distributions of fresh produce and essential household goods to farmworker families. These efforts aim to support those experiencing food insecurity while expressing gratitude for their contributions. It’s a way to both give back and help uplift those who play such a critical role in our food system.
