The Local Love Holiday CD is now available for sale

Local Ventura County musicians, in partnership with Totally Local VC’s Local Love Project, have produced the Local Love Holiday CD to fund the continuing efforts of the Local Love Project, helping those in Ventura County affected by the Coronavirus and Thomas Fire. The album features top Ventura County musicians coming together to re-imagine classic carols such as Angels We Have Heard On High and Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, Santa Claus is Coming to Town and more.
The album was produced by John Baffa, a Grammy Award–winning recording engineer, and Ralph Carter, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, composer, producer and music educator. All of the artists involved in the project, as well as the recording engineers, are donating their time to make this album possible, as are a number of other volunteers.
Proceeds from CD sales will benefit the Local Love Project, a Ventura County–based disaster relief 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Help the Local Love Project to help those affected by the Coronavirus and Thomas Fire
How did this come about?
The Local Love Holiday Album grew out of a casual conversation over (locally-brewed!) beers during the one-year Thomas Fire remembrance concert held in December 2018 presented by the Local Love Project. That concert brought together artists from throughout the region to reflect upon the devastation and to reaffirm our community’s commitment to rebuild and support those in dire need of assistance.
And this conversation led to our asking some important questions, “Wouldn’t it be great to get some of the amazing talent in Ventura County together to create an album? What about a holiday album? Well, who would we ask?” And so we were off to the races.
What local artists are going to be on the CD?
The Local Love Holiday Album is a result of a great desire by our community of artists to continue to give back to those in dire need of assistance due to the pandemic and fires. Every artist is recording their holiday favorites, with a twist!
